Hello! I'm a writer and an associate editor at Pacific Standard, and I'm based in Santa Barbara, California.
I write about environmental issues and policy, climate change resilience, changing communities, public lands, all things atomic, and art. I'm fascinated by interesting and surprising intersections among these things. I also write personal essays about place and identity.
I received my MFA in creative nonfiction from Columbia University in 2014. In 2017, I was an editorial fellow at High Country News in Paonia, Colorado. My work has appeared in the Guardian, Outside, Brooklyn Magazine, Salon, Orion, Guernica, and elsewhere.
